Letter from Jim: Thank you for your trust and support
Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,
Thank you. Because of your support, encouragement, hard work, and confidence in our campaign, I am honored to have been elected to serve as your Council-at-Large representative.
This campaign was built by people who care deeply about Ocean City and believe in thoughtful, independent, and financially responsible leadership. From the very beginning, we set out to run a substantive campaign focused on issues, solutions, and open communication with the public. I am grateful that message resonated with voters across our community.
Over the past several months, so many people contributed their time and energy to this effort. Volunteers knocked on doors, made phone calls, attended events, displayed signs, shared ideas, and encouraged neighbors to get involved. Others offered advice, financial support, and words of encouragement at just the right moments. Donna and I are deeply appreciative of every contribution, large and small.
I also want to thank everyone who took the time to speak with me throughout this campaign. Listening to residents across Ocean City reinforced my belief that our community works best when people are engaged, informed, and heard.
As I transition from campaigning to governing, my commitment remains the same. I will continue to communicate openly, listen carefully, exercise financial discipline, and approach every issue independently and thoughtfully. I will work collaboratively with fellow members of Council, Mayor Gillian, city administration, residents, and stakeholders to move Ocean City forward in a positive and responsible way.
This victory is not the end of the work. It is the beginning of an important responsibility, and I look forward to serving our community with integrity, transparency, and respect.
