To the Editor:

As a former Ocean City councilman representing the First Ward for nearly a decade, I had the privilege of serving our community and gaining firsthand insight into what it takes to lead with integrity, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to our city.

It is with that perspective that I strongly endorse Jim Kelly for councilman-at-Large.

I have known Jim for more than 20 years – as a neighbor, a friend and a fellow of this community. I have watched he and his wife, Donna, raise two outstanding children who are now successful adults and parents themselves. That foundation of family speaks volumes about Jim’s character.

During my time in office, I often sought Jim’s opinion on matters impacting Ocean City. When it came to building the Skate Park, the Boathouse, or fighting the wind turbines, Jim’s input was always valued. He brings a rare combination of common sense, experience, and integrity. Grounded in faith and family, he has a deep respect for what makes our community special–our ocean, beaches, boardwalk, bay and infrastructure.

Jim has always been actively engaged and deeply invested in Ocean City. He has been a consistent voice on important local issues and demonstrates a thoughtful, balanced approach to the challenges facing our community. As a successful businessman, he understands responsibility, accountability, and the importance of making informed decisions.

Jim Kelly is the kind of leader you want representing you – honorable, measured, and committed to doing what is right for Ocean City. I strongly encourage residents to support Jim Kelly for councilman-at-Large.
