To My Fellow Residents of Ocean City,                                                                              

I have spent most of my career as a senior executive at The Continental Corporation and American International Group (AIG), as well as a management consultant at Towers Perrin, and an adjunct college professor. In these positions, I learned and taught that success requires far more than mastering the bottom line–it depends on listening carefully, bridging differences, acting with integrity, and finding practical solutions where others see only conflict.

I have had the opportunity to get to know Jim Kelly through his community involvement over the past several years. I see in him the same qualities that define the best leaders I’ve worked with globally. Jim’s approach is refreshing and effective. He listens, he remains pragmatic, and he takes the time to understand all perspectives while simultaneously seeking a path toward a viable compromise. It takes a specific kind of strength to appear before Council on behalf of a community; it takes an even greater strength to push that same community to find the common ground necessary for progress.

Jim Kelly is a leader in every sense. He is the type of person who gets things done and exactly the type of person you want to deal with—principled, pragmatic, and possessing high integrity. He would be an outstanding City Council member, and I offer him my full endorsement.
